Holiday Recipe Spotlight: Better-For-You Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls
As we dive into the season of festive treats and gatherings, client Pat Schontag has shared a delightful recipe that’s both indulgent and health-conscious: Better-For-You Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls. These no-sugar-added bites of joy are the perfect addition to your holiday table, and they come together in just a few simple steps.
What You’ll Need
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 ½ cups no-sugar-added peanut butter powder
No-sugar-added dark chocolate chips (like Lily’s)
A touch of coconut oil
How to Make Them
Mix & Shape: Combine applesauce and peanut butter powder until you form a smooth, workable dough. Roll the mixture into small balls and refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm them up.
Melt & Dip: Melt the chocolate chips with a bit of coconut oil for a silky coating. Dip each ball into the chocolate mixture until fully coated.
Set & Serve: Place the chocolate-covered balls in the fridge or freezer to set. Once firm, they’re ready to enjoy!
These sweet, peanut-buttery treats are a lighter spin on a classic holiday favorite, with fewer calories and no added sugar—perfect for staying on track without sacrificing festive flavors.
